Flying Kiwi wraps up for WinterIts been a fantastic year at Flying Kiwi and we would like to offer a huge thank you to all the passengers, agents and activity operators who helped make this a record season for the team. We saw a significant increase in passenger numbers, even in these tricky times, reflecting the demand for our genuine "beyond the tourist trail" experiences. Our trip ratings also showed an average of 1 (from a 1 to 5 scale with 1 being excellent, 5 being poor). But that'senough trumpet blowing and time to fill you in on the latest travel tidbits. In this issue:
Flying Kiwi receives Enviro Award from QualmarkIn Flying Kiwi' s first application they have been awarded a Bronze Enviro Award by Qualmark. The Enviro-logo is a World first and has been incorporated as an extension of Qualmark's star rating. In particular the assessor commented on the high levels of customer service and the company's efforts to "continue the excellent service that your agents and customers have grown accustomed to."
With a number of recent enhancements to the recycling, environmental and service aspects of the trip, Qualmark also made note of the "continual improvement dynamic that is present in the business." Dennis Christian, Managing Director, was extremely pleased with the award and commented that "it's great to get the recognition for the efforts we are making with our trips which by their very nature are far more environmentally friendly than many alternatives. The Qualmark assessor seemed very pleased with our work and we are confident that we should soon be ready to apply for our silver award."
