Extended hop offs on all trips

One of the most popular and unique elements of Flying Kiwi trips is the ability to take extended breaks at any point. This great flexibility enables you to hop off the bus and jump on any of the next buses coming past (buses roll through every 9 days and passes are valid for up to 2 years!!).

Our teams have been working hard to put together a collection of excellent itineraries for extended breaks throughout the country.

There are 23 hop off options in total - all with something unique and exciting to offer. Some of our most popular options include:

- exploring the wilderness areas of Stewart Island and Kiwi spotting on this wonderful, remote location

- Kayaking, sailing or hiking around the 3 breathtaking National parks surrounding the Nelson region

- Jump off the bus during our winter break and refine your snow skills with a ski season in Queenstown

- Canoeing expeditions down the Whanganui river - multi day trips are available to lose yourself in the wet and wild

Visit our website for more information on extended break options.

There is, however, a salvation for those looking to experience the country - Dragon Bus. The company has recently launched the first and only independent travel network in China. With 8 separate routes and a range of passes, plus the option of sector travel, it's a flexible and easy way to explore the country.
